You are only entitled to the Assessment Rate after you have lodged an appeal, so you need to send in the GL24.

I will get the gl24 sent of special delivery tomorow, i cant get an appointment with my gp untill tuesday, and it will take another few days i expect for him to write a report, i would like to get a report written that states i cant walk anydistance without sever pain before they reconsider the dession and hopefully it might not have to go all thet way to the tribunal.
i do have a report from september 2010 which my gp wrote for my dla appeal, he states, that i have sever pain at all times when walking. do you think this is worth including with my gl24 form considering its from last year? or should i just wait untill i see my gp next week?

Hello Jox
Hang on in there & try to focus on the practical things. Far easier said than done I know. Like Catherine has already said, stories like yours makes us all angry as to how the sick & disabled are being 'looked after' - Not!!- by this smug & complacent government.
There is a link on a previous thread posted by Pat which is for a internet site called Approved Foods & which delivers your order to your home. It stocks all kind of things from food stuffs & fruit juices to toilet rolls. Everything is near to or past its 'best before' date but I've had no problems with any of the things I've purchased over the past 2 yrars . Brand names range from Waitrose to Aldi & independents like Jordans for breakfast cereals. Postage is reasonable but is worked out on weight so you need to be careful but the savings far outweigh the postage. I'm rubbish at putting internet links on my posts so hopefully one of the moderators might put it on for me.
Thinking of you.

You can do no damage by including it, and perhaps a lot of good if you do.

i would include it as it is fairly recent and as gordon says it should not do any harm and hopefully you will get a reversal from the decision maker, include he fact that the gp report they saw was not from you Gp etc...

That they said you could walk 200m does not surprise me at all. I had a doctor come to my home to do the report and he said I had no problems with incontinence (I have chronic Chrons Disease) and that I can walk without difficulty. Although I have arthritis in my hips and knees, that was not the reason I could not walk on the day he came round, it was the slipped disc that I was flat on my back with that did me in!!
