We're looking for two people, one with knowledge of learning disabilities and the other a welfare rights worker, to do some occassional paid freelance work for us.
Learning disabilities
Someone with professional knowledge of the effects a very wide range of learning disabilities wanted for freelance writing work. You will be creating short, non-technical examples of how different learning disabilities affect the ability of children and adults to undertake everyday tasks. The examples will be used in guides to claiming benefits. A detailed knowledge of welfare benefits isn’t required – though it wouldn’t do any harm. Proven ability to write for general readers would be useful.
Welfare rights worker
Welfare rights worker currently employed in an advice agency or similar required to devise and write a series of benefits related standard form letters. Primarily intended for use by staff for whom benefits advice is a subsidiary element of their job. Must be able to create materials without breaching copyright.
