Thanks Derek. I give up looking for a representative. But it's good to know how things changed, and I have tried, hehe.

Hi. I dont know if this has been posted before, and it will mainly help those recently out of work and on benefits. I pay approx £2.00 per month to a Trade Union who will assisst with benefits etc, Just a thought. Also some household insurance policies have free legal advice, (some 24/7). Hope this may help some members. Best Wishes

Just to add to what the others have said - if the position's bad now, it's nothing to what it's going to be with absolutely massive cutbacks in civil legal aid. I can't remember where I saw it, but there was an official proposal as to how the legal aid cutbacks would be effected, and one was to take away all legal aid for benefits. I don't know whether the government will implement that but it seems like a very attractive proposition for them when they're trying to chuck so many people off benefits.

Sorry for the delay jeff. We can't join trade union because we have instructed a solicitor for another tribunal case against his formal employer. From our experience, trade union hasn't been helpful when we needed them, and it would cause some procedure problems when you instruct a solicitor.
We have home insurance, the legal team have made some terrible mistakes with our case before. But I am pleased that they actually helped you.
I decide to go through the appeal myself. It would be good experience if one day I have to go through the tribunal case against his formal employer. Thanks for helping me make my mind up.

Very good point Survivor. I totally agree. It is impossible to find a representative for us, and if we did find one, I'm not sure if I can totally trust him/her.
I think you know your problem better than anybody else. Do enough study here and there, with a bit luck, we will win.
