UC review, required to go in job centre, no allowances made for health.

Just 2 months into my new UC migration, after I reported a backdated PIP payment I was told to come in with proof of savings to the job centre and if I dont show up, the claim will be terminated.

I replied due to my health conditions they need to make adjustments, and offered to upload them, and there was no reply.

I have noticed on the internet, people are reporting the normal process is to upload followed by a phone interview, so is there an idea why me someone on LCWRA is being asked to go to the job centre and they are being obtuse about it?

Hi cc

Who has asked you to attend the Jobcentre .... a Compliance Officer or a Work Coach? Are your savings over the £6k or £16k limit ?

Its signed by "new claims team" for my area.

I was taken over the 6k limit by a PIP backdated payment as my PIP award was increased earlier in the month and resulted in a large backdated payment, I reported it as a change of circumstances, the journal entry also makes it clear it is as a result of reporting the change of circumstances.

It is written in a way that is threatening, it says I may be prosecuted or fined if I supply wrong information, and also if I dont turn up for the appointment my claim will be closed. But there is no mention of compliance.

Hi cc

As you say you are not well enough to commute to the Jobcentre you could request for a DWP Visiting Officer to visit your home and conduct an interview. Would this be something you would agree to ?

Hi cc

I would make 2 requests on your UC Journal regarding the Home Visit. Send one to the option Message Work Coach and another to the option A Payment which then is routed to the Case Manager. There will then be no excuses regarding not receiving your message.

Let me know how you get on.
