The doctor also awarded me one point in the PCA for not caring about my appearance!
Although I appreciated the extra point, I was nevertheless offended and didn't need any more points!
I have an IB50 in which I passed the PCA that states that I was unkempt. I only obtained the report a year later following a medical that I failed and appealed, and I was extremely offended by the suggestion that I was unkempt when I always brushed my hair.In my own experience it doesn't matter if you look clean and well groomed, or the opposite as they will still say "well kempt"!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Would the one point have been the difference between satisfying and failing the PCA, as it could prove to be crucial in some claimants' circumstances?

I scored more than twice the number of required points but you're quite correct, combing your hair before a PCA medical could in some cases make you fit for work!
