New Esa50 & Bending&kneeling Question was created by Sandra
Hi
I am wondering where the bending and kneel question has gone off the new ESA50? i have sciatia and some days it can be bad as i get shooting pains down my legs and when i bend it pulls the sciatic nerve and when it really bad i cant move or not get up because of the pain in legs as i cant put any pressure on my feet/legs. It is worse in the mornig or if i have done too much but i do not till it hurts
Do people not bend down anymore? looks like atos think we do not bend or kneel anymore as that is missing too.
thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Believe it or not, this descriptor was removed for health and safety reasons, whatever that is supposed to mean?!

I know, it is total madness that bending and kneeling has been removed, it is something that I have major issues with so it not being there makes the ESA50 all the harder.

Yes i have noticed this. it is so stupid to remove this. as i say looks like atos believe people do not bend or kneel anymore.
so if i go to a medical or face to face it now is it must mean that they(atos)cant make you bend and kneel down anymore as far as you can then?

The bending and kneeling has been disregarded because it dos not fit into the modern work place.
How sad.

very sad as people do bend&kneel. take a shelf filler or an office worker etc if something they need or have to put is at the bottom? to me any job you will need to bend if not kneel. where do they come up with these ideas? on the back of a cornflake packet?
so how does this affect people? can they say they still have problems with this or not?
