Thankyou for the information Survivor, I appreciate your time in replying.
I will try and relax about it now until I get my tribunal date!
Best wishes,
Rachel

Just to back up what Survivor has said ( who is former CAB worker). I was originally a very much disillusioned time-served engineer, who started my career in welfare rights as a CAB volunteer, before I decided at 34 years old to do a mature students degree in Social Science.
Regretfully, due to withdrawal of funding, many CAB's are no longer able to offer the type of service they offered in the past, but it's not their fault it's the Governments.
Without the CAB's throughout the country, where would people with problems
go to get 'face to face' advice.
I suspect CAB staff are as frustrated with the current system as their clients

Hi Jim, I think I was a little, (a lot), freaked out this morning to receive a call from the CAB who had said that they could not help me a few weeks back.
I think it's a great charity and have used them in the past. It would be another huge blow if they were to be slashed by cuts.
I think the advice I have been given today by mods and posters is spot on...give it a go.
I wont have lost anything by asking for their help and maybe it will be a very positive experience!
Best wishes,
Rachel
ps I hope you are feeling better today Jim?

Thanks Rachel,
All things considered, I'm good bearing in mind I'll be 70 years old on Boxing Day.
Long may it last.
Kind regards to all, and don't forget to add any input to our thread Happy Christmas to all members & guests
God bless.
Jim
