Hi Suexx,

I think it's probably only worth mentioning if it's something you can pick out, that'll gain you points or help with your award. Most of the time, the DWP back their assessors in my personal opinion.
Have a look through the guides on here, and they should help assist you with where you could possibly score extra points.

Good luck, Chris.

HI Chris,
Thanks so much for your reply. Hey, you are doing a great job, and good luck and Congratulations with you being a moderator.
I know what you mean about the DM supporting the HCP all the way.
Im just really confused about what they have done, so will go for Appeal and see what happens. Ive never appealed before.

When I appeal online, do I just say what im appealing against (couple of sentences) or do I give full and detailed information at this stage.
I dont really have any more information to send, but this would just be a further explanation about why I cannot use aids.
Kind regards.

Hi Sue,

Thank you - much appreciated :) - I have only ever appealed by post, reason being, when I tried to submit my evidence online, it would only accept 5 files, and told me to send the rest by post.

I think because of the amount of claims they get, it's best to keep the description part brief, as the evidence goes into all the details that they should require.

It's always helpful to follow the guides on here, to ensure what you do submit, can be of some use to help support your case.

Good luck with it,

Kind regards, Chris.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your reply. Sorry for the delay, not been too well past couple of days. I will do the online form, and just send in basic info with my claim and send more if needed.

I was just looking for appeal info on your site, and saw this from a member, but I cant find it. Can you tell me where it is please?
`I lodged my appeal following the model submissions in the members guides about the vital evidence overlooked by both the HP and DM`
Kind regards

Hi Chris,
Yes thank you, im feeling a bit better.
Thanks for the link, but i dont think its the right one.

Its the appeal sample submissions that Im looking for, as Ive never done an appeal before, so would like to know what others put.
This is what i have read on your website, but i still cant find it.
Maybe im looking in the wrong place.

Our collection of sample submissions includes a step-by-step guide to writing appeal submissions which can also be used for completing your SSCS1 appeal form.

It also includes a sample mandatory reconsideration request and a sample completed SSCS1 form.

Plus there are lots of sample written PIP submissions to study, so you can be confident that yours will do the job you need it to do.
Kind regards
