Update: missing second 2023 £300 Cost of Living Payment

The second 2023 £300 Cost of Living Payment should have been paid between 31 October and 19 November 2023.  The DWP claim that 99% had been paid by 7 November and that all the rest would be paid by 19 November.  But, at the deadline, we are still hearing from people who have not had theirs.

Details of who is eligible are available here.

If you still haven't received your payment, you can use this online form from 20 November 2023 to report it.

Previous cost of living payments

The DWP have published an online form to report missing Cost of Living payments from earlier this year.

The form covers:

The £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment paid between 20 June 2023 and 4 July 2023 for most eligible claimants.

The  £301 paid between 25 April 2023 and 17 May 2023 for most eligible claimants.

You can use the form to report either of these payments as missing, although if you want to report both as missing you will have to complete the form twice.

You will need your national insurance number in order to complete the form.

£150 Disability Cost of Living Payment

To be entitled to a payment, you need to have been eligible for one of the following benefits on 1 April 2023:

  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Scottish Disability Benefits (Adult Disability Payment and Child Disability Payment)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment
  • Constant Attendance Allowance
  • War Pension Mobility Supplement

There’s more details here.

  • Universal Credit
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Working Tax Credit

So basically I have been on universal credit for a while now I had received the other payments prior to this however because I got a sanction and received £0 between August and September I haven't received this payment, in all fairness I did get a hardship payment but genuinely wasn't my fault I had been ill, without being registered at the doctor's living in a new area doesn't help when needing a fit note for the work coach really frustrating on God

Does everyone get a response after filling in the online form to report the missing payment? I filled it in on Monday and have had no confirmation that it was received, nothing on my journal or by email.

@Terry I filled in the online form and also spoke to DWP who said they’d investigate and it could take up to 10 days. I have had no other response regarding the missing online form I filled in. It’s really frustrating as I have recently been put on UC coming off ESA. Through no fault of my own. I hope that the issue is corrected promptly and everyone who is entitled receives the payment soon.

Does anyone know who it is that we contact? I filled out the form, they told me I wasn’t eligible even though I received a payment in the qualifying period. I need to appeal the decision and without a contact number I’m unable to. Anyone that can help and point me in the right direction?

@Pooja If they have checked again for you then you won't be eligible. There must be a reason for this.

I reported my missing payment yesterday via the website.
I got a message in my journal stating that I am eligible and didn't receive the payment, it will be paid in due course.

Unsure what this means or any actual dates but yeah, just a waiting game now it seems

@Eileen Sebastian Eileen, I know it sounds like a cliché.  But look into other options,  Esa benefit, for those who can't work due to illness.  Ask your Dr to assess your depression.
Or look at work from home options.
