Update: missing second 2023 £300 Cost of Living Payment

The second 2023 £300 Cost of Living Payment should have been paid between 31 October and 19 November 2023.  The DWP claim that 99% had been paid by 7 November and that all the rest would be paid by 19 November.  But, at the deadline, we are still hearing from people who have not had theirs.

Details of who is eligible are available here.

If you still haven't received your payment, you can use this online form from 20 November 2023 to report it.

Previous cost of living payments

The DWP have published an online form to report missing Cost of Living payments from earlier this year.

The form covers:

The £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment paid between 20 June 2023 and 4 July 2023 for most eligible claimants.

The  £301 paid between 25 April 2023 and 17 May 2023 for most eligible claimants.

You can use the form to report either of these payments as missing, although if you want to report both as missing you will have to complete the form twice.

You will need your national insurance number in order to complete the form.

£150 Disability Cost of Living Payment

To be entitled to a payment, you need to have been eligible for one of the following benefits on 1 April 2023:

  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Scottish Disability Benefits (Adult Disability Payment and Child Disability Payment)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment
  • Constant Attendance Allowance
  • War Pension Mobility Supplement

There’s more details here.

£301 Cost of Living Payment

To be eligible for the £301 payment you will need to have been in receipt of one of the following benefits during the qualifying period:

  • Universal Credit
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Pension Credit

There’s more details here.

Hi all - looking for some advice. I lost my job at the end of 2022 but didnt make a universal claim until November 2023. My understanding is that the cost of living payments can be back dated if i was eligible for universal but they're saying as I didnt make a claim - I'm not due any money. Any advise on this is appreciated :)

@Liam You aren’t eligible for it, you needed to be in receipt of it for the AP period of August- September.

i received all the other cost of living payments, but i was sanctioned and they took the whole £386 month payment that left me with not a penny out of the payment for the month september. The sanction was a  mistake (on there part) so they took every penny of my months payment, now because it says i was payed £0 for september thats why i didnt recieve the £301 cost of living

Not had this payment, reported it on the form on the 20th, no news, no payment, tried calling but the the phone cuts off it you don't need DWP staff to fill in the form for you, it's gut renching  waiting for a payment you are relying on and need.

Still haven't gotten it as of today, Monday the 27th. Sent the form in on Monday the 20th and was told on Friday the 24th I WAS eligible and would get it "in due course". Put a message in my journal asking what this meant and all I got was a vague "uhhh we're not the ones to ask". Replied "so who is and how can I find out" and haven't gotten a response in four hours... this is ridiculous.

Filled out the form on the 20th and have just gotten a reply in my journal. They've said I was elligible and that I will get it "in due course". No indication of what that means in terms of time. Due course would've been actually paying it when they were supposed to...

I just got a uc journal update on my cost of living payment telling me I've been paid mine. Well I know 100% I haven't and I can prove it to through my statements so they're lying to me. Also they're trying to say I had it in Aug to Sept well that's a blatant lie too.
