“Hi Gordon, I wish to thank you many times for the invaluable help you have given me over the years, without this help and advice I am sure my benefit entitlement would be different and my mental health a lot worse, so once again Thank You, you will be missed.”
..and a great big thank you from me
"Having read in the latest Newsletter that you are to leave the forum, please accept a great big thank you from me. You have got me through some very difficult times over the past few years. In particular around two years ago when I got zero points after my PIP assessmen, I followed your advice in what were very 'dark' times for me and finally got my award reinstated. I hope you enjoy a very deserved rest from what must have been a very stressful job.”
“Gordon im not one for being over dramatic but you sir have saved so many people from the depths of despair and when they thought there was no hope you held their hand and guided them through the mist of form filling and gave them best advice anyone could. Although your going the battle isnt over and the other moderators are stepping into the biggest shoes i hope and believe they will be able to fill. I do wish you the very best of luck Gordon and thank you doesnt seem enough but thats about the best i can tell you at the moment. Bless your heart Gordon.”
“I just want to wish you well Gordan, your help for me goes back a few years now and even when the subject was really difficult and harrowing to broach as in my first few private posts a long time ago you helped me understand what I needed to do for my sister and her benefits. I cannot thank you enough for that and all you have helped me with since. Time to get those comfy slippers on lol and chill a bit, you deserve it my friend.”

“Gordon, I just read the newsletter and see that you will be stepping down from being the moderator of the forum. I wanted to thank you for your patience, guidance and compassion when I was struggling with illness, bereavement and a benefits claim. Your advice helped me to keep going and find a way through the maze. I hope that you enjoy a well-deserved rest and wish you health and happiness going forward. Thank you again for your help.”
“Hi Gordon. Thank you very much for helping me. Will be sad you are leaving. Take care. Bye”
“What can I add that hasn't already been said. Thank you for your advice particularly since January this year.at my change over from DLA. You have been there for everyone for a very long time and I know that if it hadn't been for your invaluable advice (and other mods) there would have been a lot who wouldn't have been in receipt of the benefits they deserve. Enjoy your time behind the scenes.”
“I rarely post on the forum but would just like to express my sincere best wishes and gratitude to Gordon for his help on the occasions I have posted questions. Thanks Gordon - you certainly deserve a rest.”
“I received the newsletter today and Gordon is retiring. A BIG thank you for all ur help over the years”
“Dear Gordon, I have read of your well deserved retirement from this website. A few years ago I was in quite a bad place filling in forms etc and turned to you for help. You gave me tha advice I needed but apart from that you gave me hope. I really needed the kind words you offered and so just wanted you to know that you will be missed. Thank you for all your help over the years, there are many many people out here who are grateful to you. You will be missed.”
“Just heard from the newsletter that you are stepping down as mod soon. I don't know how you've managed to cope all these years with a constant stream of frightened, confused and desperate people, asking for help on a daily basis. I'm quite in awe of what you, and all the other mods do here, and would like to offer my heartfelt thanks for your, quite literally, priceless work. Gordon, enjoy your rest, I can't think of anyone who deserves it more than you.”
“Gordon, I've just read on the newsletter that you are stepping-down from being a Moderator, on 27th November. I just want to say a massive THANK YOU for the help you have given me over the years. You will not realise just how much it has helped. And it's not an exaggeration to say that you've literally helped save my life. Really.. I wish you well and thank you most sincerely”
