A DWP fraud investigator has been told to expect to be jailed after being found guilty of helping her husband carry out a massive tax fraud, according to Wales Online.{jcomments on}

Elizabeth Lewis denied helping her husband claim £885,611 in gift-aid from the taxman by pretending that a dormant charity he ran had received £3 million in donations. But, after hearing that the money went into bank accounts in the couple’s names a jury convicted both of fraud.

The DWP are adamant that benefits fraudsters should be named and shamed and take every opportunity to do so, with the help of newspapers like the Daily Mail.

Oddly, on this occasion, neither the DWP, HMRC or the Daily Mail have made the tiniest mention of this huge raid on taxpayers cash.
