A posting on www.whatdotheyknow.com suggests that the government is trying to prevent people campaigning against the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) from being heard. It seems the government is buying up domain names where reference is made to DWP corruption.

A freedom of information request has been made to the DWP by www.whatdotheyknow.com requesting more information about the DWP’s decision to buy up domains since 2007 with the wording DWP corruption in them. A number of questions have been put to the DWP including whether or not the decision to buy domain names is the correct way to use public money.

The post and the freedom of information request can be found here.
