In our last newsletter we reminded readers of the survey being carried out by the After Atos website of recipients of work capability assessment medicals. The survey was continuing despite a ‘cease and desist’ notice from Atos in relation to some of the text and graphics on the site, though not in relation to the survey itself.

Shortly after our newsletter went out a dispute seems to have broken out between the webmaster and the owner of the site. The result was that all the content from the site was taken down and replaced by an angry attack by the webmaster on the site owner relating to alleged libels and the use of ‘sock puppets’ – false online identities. Following this, anyone visiting the After Atos site was redirected to the website of the Black Triangle group, which also campaigns against the work capability assessment.

However, any attempt to visit the After Atos site in recent days has led simply to a ‘Server not found’ notice.

After Atos, it seems, has now permanently closed its doors.
