DLA refused

most dla applications get turned down first time - ring them up and talk to them and explain you cant do this that other and get persons name and ask them to put your application back in to be reviewed - follow it up with a long letter explaining again what you cant do - if you have dates of your gp visits put them down and explain you told you gp of your problems and dont understand their comments - send copy of your letter to gp with covering letter asking them to back you up this time and if gp gets funny ask for appt with practice manager - thats what i did and my gp was then falling over backwards for me...

I dont want to be negative about you going to a Tribunal but I have had the experience of being refused, whilst suffering from similar conditions you detail in your post.
When I went to Tribunal, I had already supplied full supporting medical infomation from a Consultant and my GP, who also pointed out that I needed night time care. However, the Tribunal still refused me.
I think, (and I am not an expert I am just someone who has experienced a refused application), you will need to have as much medical evidence as possible to support your application. The view of the Tribunal I attended was that everyone has what you and I have when they get to middle age, it shows on almost everyones x-rays, and they would not be persuaded that it effects me badly, even with all my medical evidence to support my application.
So, you might waste a lot of time waiting for a Tribunal when it might be best to get supporting medical evidence before applying again?
Just my view, for what its worth. Good luck

Can you post a link to the data that shows
"most dla applications get turned down first time"
I dont think that's correct if you come on forums you will find more than your fair share of people who have been turned down first time.. but in the outside world I think you will find more than half get it first time of course we never hear from them here
