Dear all,
2 questions.
No. 1 - In the WCA test I was unable to touch my knees and straighten up again but as I was able to crouch (I had to use a table to pull myself up but this was not mentioned!) I scored 0 points within that descriptor section. All I can assume is that since I crouched 'without difficulty' that cancelled out the points. I can see the line the assessor has taken but I really feel like they're having it both ways in saying you can't score twice within a section but then not awarding any points even though I qualify for one of the descriptors. What is anyone else's take on this?
No.2 - I received the package that DWP are submitting to appeal and I have sent them my own appeal asking them to forward it to the tribunal service since I'm told they get to see the information either way. Is this the way it works or should I have sent it myself to the tribunal service?
Many thanks.

Hi, you were obviously tested on the pre-March 27th descriptors and should have scored 15 points for not being able to touch your knees and straighten up again.
I think you sent your request to appeal to the right place, did you use the envelope provided?
Best wishes,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,
Yes I should have said. It was in January that I went for the test. I guess people passed on that descriptor so they got rid of it!
I sent the appeal form in the envelope provided but I wanted to add further information which took a while to write. I specifically want it to reach the tribunal service not just the DWP so maybe I need to find out where the tribunal will be held and send it to them to just to make sure.

You should also have received a form from the Tribunal Service asking yoou to confirm your intention to appeal, once this is returned, you will receive a unique reference number from the Tribunal Service for your appeal, from then on you can submit evidence to the TS directly and they will update the evidence pack and re-distribute it to both parties.No.2[/b] - I received the package that DWP are submitting to appeal and I have sent them my own appeal asking them to forward it to the tribunal service since I'm told they get to see the information either way. Hi Gordon,
Oh I see, I think I'll get in touch with DWP and see what they say. There was definitely nothing included with their appeal pack. It would be much better to deal with Tribunal service directly since I would have more faith that they were receiving all the info that way. Thanks for letting me know this.
