Why would job center call me?

hi

I had a missed call this morning from an 0845 number which i thought was strange so goggled the number and it was the job center plus.

I recently appealed a ESA decision and was told it would be looked at again i have heard nothing since this was around 7 weeks ago and i also am awaiting a tribunal date for my DLA.other than that i dont claim any other benifits and not expecting any calls from them

I haven't rang them back im waiting to see if they ring back and im a bit worried what it might be for. Why would the decided to call me rather than tell me something in via post?

I suspect the only way you're going to find out is to speak to them.

The decision maker may have more questions in relation to your appeal, in which case you can either answer them or tell the decision maker that you prefer everything to do with the appeal to be in writing and ask them to write to you.

I have just spoken to a friend of mine who had a call yesterday from IB.

She has been on IB since 2005, she received a letter last week telling her there would be a call from them. The woman apparently spoke to her like an imbecile asking her some questions and then told her a questionaire would follow in the post.

Curious, I thought they would just send a letter.

That sounds like she has had the phone call and is now going to get the paperwork to start the move to ESA

I didnt think they would phone you, surely thats a waste of money, time and resources though, specially when the paperwork will becoming out to us regarless lol
