Hi King Al

I can assure you that I do not get offended by being disagreed with, you should feel free to disagree without worry.

However, if you search the forums you will find that some unfortunate people have been taken out of the support group and placed in the WRAG following a medical.

You do have a logical point in that it is morally wrong and unethical the way claimants are treated, but I'm afraid there is no 2 year limit for those in the WRAG, and this does not apply to the support group either.

Regards

Derek

I respect your views, of course I do, however I have aspergers syndrome so for me that means I rely heavily on facts and logic. It's how I beat unlawful discrimination and people becoming indignant.

I truthfully have not seen/read/heard of any restrictions to those on the Support Group.

Logically if there is a 2 year limit for those on WRAG, then surely it would be morally and unethical, even for the Government to put any restrictions on those put on the Support Group? If there were restrictions/limitations on the Support Group then surely it would be great/longer than the 2 year limit on those on the WRAG?

I don't wish to offend you but I do believe I have a logical point, do you concur Sir?

your logical view would be correct even without illness, but its not how the DWP work and if you hunt down the stats online you will I think find you have done well to get in the support group :)

:( you will just have to keep fingers crossed you can do it again

King Al if only this was correct, I would sleep much easier.

I was in the WRAG and after my 2nd medical and on 28th december 2010 was placed in the support group.

My review is in october THIS YEAR for the support group.

There will be many people in the support group who will have medicals each year and many that will not. It all depends on why you are in the support group and the likelihood of change and no matter how logically you or I look at it this is a fact of life with the DWP.

I stand corrected.

Have just phoned an ESA line via text relay... was difficult to get them to give specific answers but from what they did say is that those on Support Group will have to complete Medical Questionnaires from "time to time" and it is from the questionnaire that DWP decide if another medical is needed.

So, sorry to say that those on support group will still be "monitored" but as others have stated on earlier post it does depend on what disabilities/Illness gets you into the support group.

I really believe those that make it to support group deserve to be left alone by DWP but sadly this won't always be the case and it was naive of me to think otherwise.
