prosthetic limb users and motabilty

new user please be gentle just trying to find out if any one has had any news on how a amputee is viewed under the new rules for mobility and claiming

Hi Rick,

I hope we're always gentle with everyone.

Do you mean the new rules for ESA or are you thinking about the proposed changes to DLA?

For ESA you would be assessed on your ability to 'mobilise' with prosthetic limbs and your ability to use a wheelchair if you were not able to walk far with your prosthetic limbs.

For DLA - or PIP as it will become - we don't yet know what the criteria will be.
