Hi all

Just heard from my local DIAL office. The gent I spoke to, who I have seen before said he feels that what has happened is rather unusual. Says he has not heard of it before.

He passed me onto a place called Enable Ability who will be able to help me with an appeal and tribunal, as he feels this is what may happen next.

Keep you posted as I hear anything.

Thanks

Pusscat

Hi

Just an update. I now have an advocate to help me, hoping to meet up with him on Friday, this week. Also received tribunal form to fill in and send back, but want to talk with advocate before I actually do that.

I'll let you know what happens.

Had a visit from my advocate today and I have to say I was very disappointed. He didn't seem to have a clue what ESA was or the Support Group. He even asked me at one stage if I was receiving IB. Now if he knew what ESA was he would know that I do not receive IB.

I have called their offices and asked to talk to someone about him.

Hoping this was the right thing to do as I do not feel confident about having him at the tribunal if he does not know what he's dealing with.

Does anyone agree with me?

Thanks

your doing the right thing its one thing to get bad advise here and your warned of the pit falls here, but when you go to pros they have to be up to speed, the damage they could do to yours or others claims could end in tears

I ould not expect him to knoweverything but the stuff you have brought up should be his bread and butter every day claims IMO B)

Hi Pusscat, I know the Mods have said that a bad representative is worse than no representative, so yes I think you've done the right thing.

Don't feel too disheartened if they aren't helpful. You could go back to Dial and ask them to recomend another Welfare Rights group.

Best wishes,
Rachel :)
