NI contributions payable when in receipt of ESA? was created by Hat

I am receiving ESA awaiting appeal date. Do I have to pay NI contributions while I am on ESA, please?

Hi Hat

If you win your appeal your NI credits should be reinstated. Otherwise I believe there will be a gap in your NI contribution record, but paying for credits is optional.
