New ESA CWA Assessment was created by valerieegan
This does not cover anything in relation to problems such as how many times would you have to leave work to attend hospital appts, doctors, therapies such as chemo, reflexology, chiropractic because employers are certainly not going to take people on who have to attend many appointments a year such as myself.
I have to attend both reflexology & chiropractic every 2 weeks for my back, am currently seeing a neurologist and a gynaecologist due to complications with the menopause due to the Epilepsy, IBS, and bladder problems that I experience but these are not listed in the assessment.
How do you get across these problems whilst undergoing the assess ment. It does not go deep enough into criterias.

IMO I am of the view that the controversy and criticism you get with both reflexology & chiropractic and the way Atos have enough trouble taking advise from main stream drs if they appeared on your paperwork the result might be negative (however much good they do you)

I would write a "statement of fact" detailing who you see when and why and hand it in at the assesment

Please do not think me unsympathetic, I fully understand how these problems impact on your daily life.

However, the ESA medical (WCA), is what it is, unless you can show how these matters affect your ability to pass the tests, they are not relevant,

This is an important point, that everybody claiming ESA needs to get their heads around, I know, because I failed to do so when I filled in my ESA50.

When we are disabled, we see the impact across a wide range of activities and capabilities, the WCA looks at a limited set of these, and not always the ones that we see as having the most impact.

Please read the ESA guides in the Members area to see how you can map your disabilities onto the tests.
