How long does it take for a posting to show online

Hi I have just submitted a posting about half an hour ago. Its the only one that I've done. My profile shows that I've done 1 posting. But its not showing in my postings file and its not showing online yet?

Have I done it wrong or is there a time lag for it to show online?

It varies.

Every message posted on here is read before it is posted, and links are checked to see that they are ok (although we don't read the content of links in every detail). As you can see, there are a number of moderators, but all are sick/disabled like the members and at any one time, we usually have some off sick as it were. The rest of us pop in as often as we can to moderate the posts. If you're lucky, we may moderate within seconds, but if no one's around, it may take an hour or two.

I think last week we moderated around a thousand posts between us.
