Can you tape record your ESA medical? was created by C.J
Reason Im asking is Ive read about it all, and wondered how I would get on, i.e I WOULD need Speech To Text reporter, thats my only way of communicating, and then I could also have large print so I could see it all properly, Speech To Text is recorded and saved ? Im wondering how Atos would Re-act to that?

Asked simple general question to Atos, question was simple, do you supply or allow Speech to text reporter be at Medical or Interview? reply was.
"Dear Sir/Madam
Please provide me with your National Insurance number. I will then be able to make enquiries to determine whether Atos Healthcare can provide this service".
Now why would I do that, when I haven't even got a medical as yet?

Hi CJ,
To answer your first question, if you reasonably require speech to text reporter to take part in your medical assessment because of your health condition, then Atos are not really in a position to refuse. To do so would be clear disability discrimination.
Not sure why they are asking for your NI number, unless it's to check the information held on you to determine whether this facility would be reasonably required.
It's just as likely that they don't like general questions and so want to put you off by asking for your NINO.

HI Again Steve
Well I was bit silly couple years ago when Jobcentre plus said to my wife when she asked for speech to text reporter, they answered with "we dont do that we will leave it for couple years" How about that 1, If I had recording of it I could of had them for disability discrimination.
And No doubt about it, I would 100% need speech to text reporter, or is it better Wife does ALL my communicating as per usual?
Before I go I have a wee question,"cognitive impairment" Ive never thought of that before, but I think its a yes but Im unsure, as I dont speak to many people, or should I say also not many speak to me, being deaf. Its sort of question I Ignore as im so unsure.
Thanks Steve
Regards
