From 0 points to 24 on appeal was created by jenniferb
Hi
Just wanted to let you know I won my tribunal last week. The Tribunal judge and doctor had actually read the report from my psychologist and the occupational health report (which had been the basis of my being let go at work 2weeks before my '0 points' medical) and asked sensible questions.
In spite of extra difficulties due to the DWP hindering my recovery process (according to my psychologist), I managed to recover from my nervous breakdown and I closed my claim at the start of December last year when I found work. However the DWP now have to pay me the extra £25 a week (which would have made all the difference to my quality of life when I was at my sickest) backdated to cover November 2009 - December 2010.

Well done Jeff,
My husband has an appeal next week for ESA. He is returning to work at the end of the month, BUT he is not prepared to accept the way he was treated over ESA, so he is carrying on with his appeal anyway.
I hope his result is positive like your own, these people need to be shown that people who are unfit for work will not accept the shoddy attemps of decision making, and their accepting of sub standard medical reports which do not even address the cliamants issues.

Hi Ginge
Very well done on staying with it & getting the right outcome. Wishing you all the best in your work & hoping you stay healthy.
Kathy
I hope your husband has as successful an outcome as Ginge. You are absolutely right about not letting ATOS & the DWP get away with at best misrepresentation & at worst fabrication of the state of health of claimants.
Best wishes to you all - maggie

And here we have a classic example of just why the government are now actively trying to nobble the tribunals.
