My husband has been on longterm IB and has not had any further medicals or reassessments (thank God) for a couple of years. Out of the blue a few days ago he got a letter from the local Job Centre telling him to attend an interview for a "review" this is to "improve your chances of finding work" even though the doctors have agreed he is unfit for work.
I thought the longterm IB claimants were not to be reassessed (at least) until end of February; also, he has been sent no questionnaire or anything else in writing.
Could anyone comment on what they think is going on, and what this meeting is likely to entail. I can tell you we are both very scared about having our tiny income reduced even more, or him being told to seek work when he cannot.
