esa claim help

when im moved onto esa will i have to reclaim my council tax benefit and local housing allowance?

Around June last year, a new scheme was launched enabling claimants to make a claim for JSA/ESA, housing benefit and council tax benefit over the phone in one go, without having to fill in separate forms. When I switched from JSA to ESA last year, I didn't need to make a fresh claim for housing/council tax benefit.

I understand that this was a new scheme and may not yet be deployed in all areas, so it's worth ringing JCP and asking if it applies to your area.
