Doctors visit today was created by jewel
Any advice would be appreciated as my daughter has a medical visit today. She was in receipt of higher award for care and mobility but taken away at renewal. Asked for appeal for DLA and they are now sending out a doctor. She has chronic asthma and symptoms vary day to day.
Any info or help would be appreciated.

Hi. I too have difficult asthma and am in receipt of HRC and HRM but did not have to undergo a medical but did have a medical for IB. The medical was stopped and and I was made exempt after having to do a peak flow which made be cough and produce loads of mucous. Just be honest and tell it as it is, breathlessness on exertion, fatigue, frequent infections, trying to avoid smoke, strong odours, the elements and the limitations it has on her life. I use an attendant wheelchair amd mobility scooter but am housebound if it is too cold, too windy, too hot etc. I also do four hourly nebs which di increase to 2 hourly when chest is bad and oral steroids Pred taken daily also have side effects, aching legs, bloating, nebs cause tachcardia and shaky hands. If you have copies of discharge summaries and clinic letters give them to the Doctor that's what I did. Good luck with the medical, stress can make symptoms worse and the Condems are causing far too much stress making us worse I hope they rot in hell.

Hi Jewel,
Rather late to ask for advice on a medical visit today !!!
See 70 Questions You’re Likely To Be Asked At Your DLA Medical
Also the A-Z of medical conditions used by DWP Decision Makers & DLA Tribunals to assist them in deciding what level of award to make What is asthma Check out where it states ' Care & Mobility Considerations'
Hope this helps
