Thanks for that information Pendle. I was aware of that condition, which must obviously be difficult to live with, but was unaware of the name.
A 'sleep machine' sounds like a machine that puts people who aren't feeling sleepy, to sleep. You would expect a professional report that is a legal document to use the proper terminology, as you have done.

Hello - sorry but I'm confused over the appeal process.
According to the appeals notes, I need to fill in GL54 using the suggested wording as guidance.
Once I've sent this off, how long to I have to prepare all my evidence and submit it?
As I said before, I've a 33 page medical report to go through - I'm only on page 5 because the previous pages are all full of inaccuracies. I thought that I'd have to go through all of this and submit a complete appeal within the one month. This is why I wrote a letter to the DWP and said that I would be appealing and to reinstate my payments in the meantime.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It usually takes a couple of weeks before you receive you evidence packet from the Tribunal Service. This includes a form that confirms that you wish to continue with the appeal, this must be returned within 14 days of receipt.
Tribunal dates appear to be running at 5-6 months although there is some regional variation. Under normal circumstances you have four weeks from the receiving the packet to return your evidence, but given the delays in them being held you should be able to ignore it.
As a rule of thumb. all evidence should be submitted 3-4 weeks in advance of the Tribunal date, to allow for the collation and re-distribution of all the evidence to all concerned parties, but eaelier is better.
