IB renewal - advice please

Recently, I was called in for a medical although I made a a valid and comprehensive completion of an IB50 with great help from the guide.
Anyway, my doctor requested a home visit and then I got a phone call saying I wouldn't need to go for a medical - which was a huge relief to say the least!
Whilst I'm pleased about the news, there is still a worry about what's going to happen with the transfer onto ESA. The DWP wrote to me when they changed their mind about me going for a medical and said my case would be reviewed in a years time (Next Oct).
The main reason I'm writing this post is when reading tne newsletter today, I noticed some claimants have been given two years or even three till there next review and wondered why I've been given only a year???
Obviously, this is better than nothing but a year goes very quickly and when the ESA transfer threat is looming it is especially worrying for the near future.
Many thanks

This is an indication as to when your health condition may improve according to the MA, and the IB decision maker will nearly always adopt this opinion. As different claimants have different medical conditions, this would be the obvious explanation as to why each claimant's review date is different.

Thanks for your reply. Considering I'm not responding to medication or psychological interventions and considering there has been no improvement of my condition (in fact it has got worse) in the last 4years on IB I am still surprised that they have only give me a year.
Also, last time they gave me 18mths, so still don't think it is fair, that this time it's only a year, when there's been no change for the better.
Is there anything i can do about it?
Thanks

Unfortunately not. This is because it is what is known as a determination and not a decision. Whilst most benefit decisions can be appealed, determinations do not carry the right of appeal.
