I have been seeing a psychiatrist every 3 months for the past 5 years. Have been told by someone (who had regular appointment last week) that the CMHT are no longer giving out 3 monthly appointment and that they will see you only in a crisis. I have yet to be told this as my next appointment is later this month. Couple of questions:
I am currently on enhanced CPA as part of my care plan it was agreed that i would keep 3 monthly appointments as i have been in the past " difficult to engage" so are the services just able to override the care plan without a review, if so where does that leave the Care Programme Approach.
Secondly without regular appointments and contact with the services does that limit my chances when it comes to the dreaded assessment.
