Great news I was awarded DLA in 2008 after several failed claims, but only awarded low rate mobility I have ulcerative collitus, Bipolar, Anemia(blood and iron infusions 4 weekly) joint inflamation, and just been diagnosed with chrones as i now have 3 fistulas caused by this.

I asked for a reconsideration on my 1st award and was reawarded low rate care and low rate mobility.

Over the lasr 9 months I have become both more physically ill after 3 weeks in ITU after failed surgeries and been very low with bipolar and just diagnosed with chrones as well so i deceided to ask for a supersession even after reading lots of scare stories not to put your DLA claim at risk.

I applied for the supersession on april 13th got support evidence from CPN and Occupational health therapist and used all the advice on the website too, I have been a member for 2 years now and its been the best money I have ever spent.

I got my little long awaited brown envelope this morning and i have been awarded Highest rate care and kept my low rate mobility!!!! :cheer: I am so pleased and its been worth all the hours I ahve put in to get this award and be recognised for how poorly I am!

Thanks again benefits and work

Ps Good luck to all other members with there applications and appeals, I was scared to apply for a supersession as I would lose my origanal award but I am now about £200 a month better off and am awaiting arrears of 15 weeks :cheer:  :woohoo:
