I know what you mean Julie, as soon as I seen the brown envelope this morning I thought here we go :unsure:
Im glad I didnt have to fill In the whole form all again, whos knows they may decide to go back to the full form after the trial of the 4 page one.
Hope you hear soon, let us know how you get on.

Hi

I don't know if I am being too cynical but;

I have heard that the DWP are destroying old claims if they reach eighteen months before renewal is due. If this is true, then when the claimant returns their short renewal, the Decision Maker will refuse benefit and say he has not received enough information. He will not have the original pack to refer to as it may have been destroyed. Ibelieve the best way is to give them as much further evidence as possible, even if that should mean completing a full new pack and adding it to the short renewal. They might not like this, but they will then have to look at all the information therein.
Like I said, am I being too cynical, surely they wouldn't sink to this level, would they?

Regards:

Well, if you think back to the thirty, fifty or whatever year secrecy of State documentation - when it suits their purposes, Whitehall have, sometimes with extensions, denied the public of this country access to their own history; and they've covered-up stuff (some central to the making of laws) that it would seem for various reasons ought to be in the public domain. With a track record like that, would they hesitate to dispose of lesser items...

Thanks all. I've downloaded the full DLA 1A form and just starting to plough through it. I'll staple it together and send it in with that 4 page form.
Then it's up to them, i'll let you know what happens!!! :S
