Hi All,

I got my Blue Badge two years ago, just before I was awarded HMC on the DLA. Our council is Derby City and they gave me a form at the council offices which I had to have signed by my GP and that was enough to get my Blue Badge. I did have to pay a tenner to have the report signed, but I didn't mind as the BB has saved me £££s and been a huge help. I also got a disabled persons bus pass for free travel throughout England at the same time. Neither had any impact on my DLA award and I didn't mention either the BB or the bus pass on the application.

Hmmm i was thinking of applying for one of these, but do not get higher mobilty, so therefore automatically thought it wasnt worth trying for one!

Having CFS/ME i have managed to get a bus pass, so maybe i will try and get one! see what happens, to whether my council approve it or not we shall see!

Alison - read my post on page 2

I have CFS/ME and got it with no DLA award, no medical or no input from my GP

Go for it, you have nothing to lose!
