DLA re-apply

In fact, my condition got rather worse last year but it didn't occur to me that I should re-apply. Now I see that I might be entitled to low mobility as well as low care. In these circumstances, anyone know if the DWP ever backdates? I have medical proof.
Also, should I just print off the whole application and fill it in? I know you recommend that people provide more info than that four-page form and I have loads - consultants' letters, GP letters etc. But there are so many additional pages I'm using that I wonder if I should just print off the lot. Or will that confuse them, as it might seem like a new application?

I was sent the DLA short-form re-application (DLA 580) a few weeks ago and have been trying to assemble all the medical evidence etc - with plenty of reference to this website!

On the question of backdating DLA claims please refer to the comments in this thread HERE.
On your second point, send in all the medical and any other relevant evidence that is available, as it may speed up the processing of your renewal claim. The DLA Unit will be aware that you are making a renewal claim.
