Subject Access Request was created by Marie72
I am about to send a Subject Access Request to Atos. I have a template for the letter, but I want to know the specific medical qualifications of the registered nurse who undertook my WCA and whether she is registered with the GMC.
Do I need to phrase the letter in a certain way. This stuff is well over my head really.
Would really appreciate any advice.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Marie,
As long as you makeyour meaning clear, which you have in your post, then that's all that's required.
Good luck,
Steve

Hi Marie.
I am glad you have been in touch with Mind - they already have grave concerns about ESA and the looming IB migration and will be campaigning very hard on these issues.
Regarding your subject access request to Atos, I would probably ask what qualifications specific to mental health the nurse has. She will be registered with the the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) rather than the GMC, the equivalent for doctors.

Marie .. I may be wrong but the "subject access request" may have to be sent to the DWP rather than ATOS. I think DWP are the Data Controllers in this case as ATOS are just collecting the info on their behalf. If you go to the DWP web page and type in Data Protection there are links to a form to download for "subject access requests".. it needs to be signed so it can't be done online .. another helpful site is the "Information Commisioner" that gives templates and allsorts of advice and it's to them that you complain to if you don't get a response..
