renewal forms

I have just received my sons dla renewal forms. The forms are the original forms that are used for a new claim. On phoning them up they tell me that as the allowance ends in august it now has to be treated as a new claim. Do you think i will be less likely to get the money again using these forms as opposed to renewal ones?

Not sure about the DWP's logic there, but use our guides and I really don't think it will make any difference which forms you have, it's the information you provide that matters.
