ME/CFS

Anyone suffering ME/CFS and up against the IB system dont give up. I took ill with this in 2007, in Aug 2008 i was required to attend a medical. The deemed me fit for work, it eventually went to tribunal in Feb 2009 and i won. In July 2009 of i was requested to attend another medical!! i tried to appeal against this but it was mandatory i got some help to fill in my forms and went to my appointment in Oct 2009.....

This bit is important, this website suggested i go prepared and that is exactly what i did, took copies of previous letters a typed summary of how the illness affects me, and some medical jargon about the illness. I also took a copy of a letter with their policy on ME/CFS which i received, basically stating that they are not allowed to box us off just because we can do something in the morn dosnt mean to say we can repeat it within the next 4 hours. I was granted my benefits and the dr who took my medical was actually nice when i explained i had only been to tribunal in feb of that year. Dont give up.
Sadly i was declined my DLA at the time i was too exhausted with the fight of stress around the medical and did not appeal.. i may yet reapply.
