I'm playing the not-so-guessing-game as the reality-game.
I'll be 69 soon and get PIP daily living and enhanced mobility awarded at Tribunal in 2021, for an 'indefinite' period. I'm guessing that DWP will see me of little value and at the very least take my daily living award off me under the intended new rules, and just leave me with the car. So, I found a link, below, which states as PIP and Attendance Allowance are two quite separate benefits, the latter being for the personal care element I will be losing under PIP and that I can claim both. So I thought I'd ask the Forum, will it be worthwhile when the time comes applying for AA? TIA.
If you were given an ongoing award in 2021, you are not due for review until 2031, and as it stands today, you would be due a light-touch review.
Nothing has been said about any changes for those who have passed State Pension Age - so there's no point in us speculating about what might happen until proposals have been changed by law. Any changes will be covered in the newsletter.
