RE:. Migration to UC from CB ESA with IR top up

Hi all,

I received my notice to migrate from ESA to UC at the start of Feb. I am currently receiving CB ESA with IR top up in the support group and am planning to migrate in mid April

I have been reading reports on Benefits and Work that there have been cases whereby that when first UC payment statement/payment is received, the CB/New Style ESA has been deducted pound for pound from UC payment, but the LCWRA rate has not been applied which has resulted in a reduced/nil UC award for that month. I am now absolutely paranoid that this will happen to me. Has anyone had a positive experience migrating from CB ESA with IR top up and been paid the correct amount?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Kuju2

If you are worrying after reading the experiences of other people why don't you use the Citizens Advice Help to Claim service. Here is a recommendation from Forum member VIA-

Let me know how you get on.

Hi David,

Yes I definitely plan to use the CAB Help to Claim service. when applying. Have spoken to them already and done a benefot calculation. They are very thorough.
