Hi, I live on my own, am on Universal Credit, unemployed, and classified as looking for work. I have just had a 10-minute work coach meeting, during which it was discussed (and shown in my journal by me) that I have a job interview next week for a teaching assistant role. However, it was also mentioned that I might receive a sanction for not answering a random phone call from the job centre.
I was sent a message in my journal about an optical assistant role, with an email address to send my CV to. I sent the email. Then, a few days later, I received a phone call and a message in my journal stating that the job centre had tried to contact me. I forgot to reply in my journal.
Is there any way around this other than waiting to see if I get a sanction and then taking action? I’m worried that if I write anything in my journal—such as an apology—it could make things worse by reminding them, which might lead to a sanction.
