Hi deanrxs

All claimants being reviewed for PIP have an assessment - it's either paper-based, telephone, video or face to face. The majority of people have telephone assessments. The fact that your partner has been chosen to have a telephone assessment has no bearing on the final outcome of the assessment. I would advise, if possible, that you look at the guide to PIP claims and reviews and go through the questions that she may be asked at a telephone assessment. Review information is from page 129 onwards. benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip, including advice on making sure the assessment is recorded.

I hope it goes well for your partner.

Hi deanrxs

I'm sorry that your partner got distressed during the assessment. Yes, they generally try and trick people. On Thursday your partner can ring the DWP and ask for a copy of the assessment report - it's called a PA4. (Don't let them tell your partner, they can't have a copy before the decision letter comes out - because they can.)

Hi deanrxs

I'm afraid I can't give you an exact timeframe. It could be within a couple of weeks but it might stretch to four or longer.
