I want to find out about moving if you are getting Housing costs(Different to housing benefits). Costs are payment of Service Charges if you own ex-local authority flat).Do you know what happens if you move within the same borough (of if you move to different borough)? Does it spark a move to UC? If you do not know - whom can I ask? David replied to my earlier query under heading WCA but for some technical reason computer did not let me reply to his answer! Not very good at this just terrified about the future. Thanking everybody for the help you offer. Does anybody know about housing costs?
Housing service charges can be paid with ESA or with UC. If you move but stay in the same Local Authority area then you are not obliged to claim UC. But if you move to a new Local Authority then you have to claim UC for housing costs. We cannot go into granular detail regarding service charges as the topic does not fall within the remit of the BenefitsandWork forum
