NS ESA APPEAL / FORM UC50

NS ESA APPEAL / FORM UC50 was created by Tommy
After making a claim for NS ESA, I recently completed Form ESA50.

I've received a letter from the DWP saying that I've been passed fit for work.

I only scored nine points.

However, I plan to ask for a mandatory reconsideration, hoping that I can gain an additional six points to get me into the WRAG.

Also, I hope that I might be placed in the Support Group under the exceptional circumstances rule.

In addition to claiming NS ESA, I am claiming Universal Credit.

With regard to UC, I have been asked to complete Form UC50.

Presumably, I'll be asked to undergo another medical assessment by a Healthcare practitioner.

How will the process regarding my UC claim affect the process regarding my claim for NS ESA, given that the two processes seem to be going on at the same time?

Hi Tommy,

Whether the UC50 was posted to you by an automated system or mistakenly by a human, is not going to make any difference. As you have just had a WCA and been found fit for work then that will apply to your UC claim. So you will need to focus on the Mandatory Reconsideration. Have a look at the BenefitsandWork guides to Mandatory Reconsiderations.
