I've recently returned the ESA50 form. I'm worried about income if I'm found fit for work and go to appeal. Will I be paid benefits whilst awaiting the appeal coming up?
I've done a lot of searching but found nothing reassuring or definitive.
If you were to disagree with being found fit for work you would first ask the DWP for a Mandatory Reconsideration. If they refused to change their decison then you would make an Appeal. During the wait for the Appeal Hearing you would be paid ESA at the Assessment Rate.
Hope this helps, David
