I’m due to receive an inheritance payment of £9800 taking my savings to £11100 in total as of today. I know the savings threshold is 6000 at the lower limit which leaves me £5100 over savings lower limit. I understand that my ESA IR amount will be reduced by £4 in every £1000 as well as my housing benefit. What about Council Tax reduction is this reduced by the same over £6000 limit can you tell me? How long will my benefit be reduced do you know if I’m using my savings in the meantime?
