Pip success story! was created by kimmidoll
Hello, I just thought I’d share my PIP success timeline because I know there can be a lot of doom and gloom with regards to applying for PIP but my experience really wasn’t bad at all.
Thank you so much everyone at B&W for your guides, It made the whole process so much easier.
April 15th- Called PIP to apply
April 22nd- Received form
April 27th- Pip received my application form.
June 26th- Telephone assessment. Lasted nearly 2 hours. Assessor was lovely!
June 27th- Assessor called again to double check some things.
July 11th- Got a call to say I’ll be getting awarded enhanced rate for both!
So 3 months in total.
I’m so relieved this is all over now, I had prepared myself to go to tribunal.
Good luck to everyone who is going through the process at the moment.

Hi kimmidoll
Many congratulations on your enhanced PIP award. Thank you for taking the time to explain your timeline. It certainly sounds as if it went smoothly to be completed in three months. It's good to hear that you had a nice assessor because although there are some good ones, I'm not sure that's typical.

Unfortunately I’d agree that having a nice assessor is the exception. The last time I applied my experience was a lot more negative than this and I had to take it to tribunal. Ditto when I applied on my son’s behalf.

Hi kimmidoll,
Well done on your successful result. Thank you also for sharing your story. With many negative stories, it is always good to hear positive news.
