DWP Corruption & Fraud was created by Bill and Pics
I have high performance autism, and many problems connected with autism because of the way my brain works varying from communication problems and preparing meals to anxiety, depression and learning difficulties, heightened sensitivity being overwhelmed with some tasks, and should be getting enhanced rate PIP. I had been getting standard rate PIP but when recently diagnosed with autism (which I will have had all my life and continue to have for the rest of my life) the DWP has decided to reconsider my claim, used my exceptional abilities to mask my difficulties with autism, and denied me PIP completely with only one factor honoured relating to support for mixing with other people giving me only 4 points (which doesn’t qualify for PIP), and everything else overlooked.
The DWP makes many inappropriate judgements like with anxiety problems when going out and mixing with society by equating it with physical fitness and not the mental effects of anxiety, so someone who is physically fit needing support for going out due to mental health problems will be seen as having no requirements for support due to being physically fit.
The DWP has already conned me out of thirty years of disability benefits for uncontrolled epilepsy and autism earlier in life through guilt tripping me into feeling like a sponger and making me believe I didn’t qualify (like they are trying to do now) and now trying to deny me it for the rest of my life which could result in about fifty years being conned out of disability entitlements by corrupt civil servants.
A friend, who is a retired lawyer, knowing the problems I have had advised me not to let the DWP pull the wool over my eyes with my strengths and warned me that the DWP conspires to defraud claimants wherever possible and gets away with a lot of fraud, mostly against vulnerable individuals. In fact he told me the DWP was the UK’s biggest fraudster and he even had to fight for PIP.
The DWP is a collection of fraudulent civil servants preying on the vulnerabilities of ones they are supposed to be supporting. With it being the biggest government department, no wonder civil servants have a bad reputation having been poisoned by the reputation of this department.

Hi Bill and Pics
You didn't say in your post when you had your review. Are you going to submit for a mandatory reconsideration? You have to do this within four weeks of the date on your decision letter. If you have missed this date, you could ask permission to put in for a late Mandatory Reconsideration.
Autism, as you know, is often misunderstood by health professionals generally, and it seems more so by the many professionals employed in the various assessment services. You are far from being alone in having an inadequate experience. What do you want to do next?
Have you got a copy of the PA4 (Assessors report) - so you can see in detail of why they turned you down? If you haven't got it - then you can ring and ask for it. It takes 7 - 10 days to arrive.
If you have it and understand what you are fighting against, have a look at our guides on submitting a mandatory reconsideration and see what you can do to try to overturn the decision. See if there's anything that you can do to make them understand your condition.
Come back and ask if you have any questions, and we will try and help.

My review took place over the phone on Wednesday 28th February 2024. The review letter was dated 20th March 2024 and I received it on 11th April 2024 to which I prepared a detailed appeal against it, posted it on 17th April 2024 and it was delivered to the DWP office in Wolverhampton on 18th April 2024 by special next day delivery to ensure it got there within a month from the date of their letter.
I stated this late arrival and outlined all my needs and problems, some which had already been recognised in the past with my standard rate PIP but overturned in their recent review with even more evidence to support my claim.
They seem to use my high performance capabilities to overshadow the many problems I have and what I have to work around. Two factors which would give me 12 points without taking into account PTSD, anxiety, depression and all other factors are:
1. needing to be prompted to socialise and get into conversation (4 points this time, 2 points previously);
2. unable to prepare a meal as I cannot multitask (completely overlooked this time, 8 points previously).
These two gave me 10 points before with nothing else taken into consideration for the standard rate PIP, but this time the unable to prepare a meal was completely overlooked which I mentioned when I was being assessed over the phone, so I only got 4 points for socialising problems.
With the unable to prepare a meal, plus many other factors with mental health connected to autism I should get way over 12 points. All the additional ones are directly linked to autism which I thought were behavioural problems and not medically connected with autism. So I now have even more evidence to support my claim for enhanced rate PIP, not have it completely stopped.
So, only three working days on since they received my appeal I am waiting to hear something.
Between getting the letter and preparing the appeal, I had a good think and also saw my therapist. My therapist told me she would give the DWP a psychological report on my mental health wellbeing knowing the problems I have throughout life and was shocked at how I had been treated by the DWP, so told me to include her contact details in my appeal letter. Others I have been in touch with through internet websites, emails and social media have supported me with information and several autistic/brain injury charities (such as Headway) have all provided me with loads of information to fight to the last point with organisations ready to help autistic claimants if I have to take it to tribunal.
You need a lot of willpower to fight the bureaucratic fraud and bullying going on within the DWP, which I’m sure many haven’t got the determination to survive it all. It is disgusting they use bureaucracy as a tool to bully, persecute and defraud vulnerable individuals they should be supporting.
I shall be taking a look at all the information available (including benefitsandwork.co.uk) to fight this injustice to the full as I get paranoid whenever treated unfairly or a victim of injustice and find it difficult to let matters rest until it is resolved properly.

Hi Bills and Pics
Hopefully, it will not be too long before you hear something. I'm glad you feel that you have the energy and will to fight this.

As no one else seems to want to interfere here I will.
Really guys! Do either of you think that this is helping the original poster? In all likelihood, you have scared them out of the forum.
Andrew - You have already been warned about this.
If the only posts you are going to make on the forum are contentious ones that you must know are at odds with the majority of member's opinions then don't post.
