PIP-Video Consultation was created by maryo
Dear All,

I received a letter from PIP to attend a video consultation.

However due to going through aggressive chemotherapy treatment for cancer the doctor has written me a supporting letter to say I am unable to attend due to my current health as I am very unwell.

A support service assisting me has phoned the assessment centre yesterday and they have said I did not have to attend.
However I was wondering if you would advise that I send the supporting letter as well?

If so, should I send the letter to the Assessment Service requesting the video consultation or to PIP or both?

Thank you.

Marie

Hi Maryo

You could send a letter to the assessment services confirming they have cancelled your appointment and attach your supporting letter with it.

You could send a letter to the DWP saying that the assessment services have agreed to cancel your appointment and attach the supporting letter.

Keep copies of the supporting letter and any letters you write.
