PIP REVIEW COMPLETE - BIG THANKS was created by Ella16
I would just like to say a huge thanks once again !! After a 12-month wait, my review has been completed and I have been awarded Enhanced Daily Living and Enhanced Mobility with a 6-year award time.
I have used the guides and advice twice now once for my initial PIP claim and now for my review. Your guides and advice are invaluable and so helpful, I certainly wouldn't have managed without them !! Massive massive thanks to all. Your advice on treating a review as an application I'm sure has resulted in my getting a higher award on Mobility than I initially received on my first application, this is because I believe I followed all of the advice you gave, once again thanks so much.
I would advise everyone to follow the guides they really do help.

Hi Tim
I had a telephone assessment for my review. The area of the country I live in meant that Capita carried out my review. I would say on the whole the assessor was good she prompted me to answer the questions in a way to convey my needs accurately and interestingly enough told me that everything I said was taken as gospel and there could be no discrediting statements by herself.
I will say I did follow the advice in the guides available here, I completed my review as if it were an application and included diary pages, and medical letters from therapists, GP, and consultants. I included written statements from my carers and copies of my prescriptions and I wrote a separate detailed statement on how I cope every day and how my illnesses affect me. During my wait time for the review to be completed, I continuously updated the DWP with health changes, medication, and medical procedures or new diagnoses I had received.
I hope this helps
